BLACKBURN Graveside service for J. C. Blackburn, 81, of Chickasha, Oklahoma will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 8, 2005 at the Ninnekah Cemetery. J. C. Blackburn was born February 10, 1924 in Binger, Oklahoma the son of S. C. and Nancy (Fountain) Blackburn and died March 5, 2005 in Chickasha. Mr. Blackburn lived in Chickasha most of his life. He owned and operated Blackburn and Son Painting. He and Wilma Turner were married September 12, 1943 in Gracemont, Oklahoma. Mr. Blackburn was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Fountain Blackburn in 1972; father, S. C. Blackburn in 1994; brothers, Reverend D. L. Blackburn, Charlie Blackburn, Roger Blackburn, and Everett Blackburn; sisters, Ethel Baker, Jolene Givens, Beulah Gaither, and Norene Shoptaw. Survivors include his wife, Wilma Blackburn of the home; two daughters, Erlene Hatchell and husband Lavon of Chickasha, Kathy Prigmore and husband Jack of Chickasha; one son, Steve Blackburn and wife Gaye of Chickasha; grandchildren, Sherrie Hatchett, Jason Hatchett, Tammy Foley, Stephanie Baker, and Clint Blackburn; three great grandchildren; one sister, Lois (Stewart) Mosley of Phoenix, Arixzona; one brother, Bill Blackburn of Denton, Texas; many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
