Jerry Tate officiating. Bond was born May 12, 1911 in Fort Cobb to John and Georgia (Sadler) Bond and died Monday, March 1, 1999. He married Hazel Lorene Anderson June 26, 1933 in Anadarko. She preceded him in death January 21, 1994. He lived in Caddo County all his life. He farmed and ranched south of Fort Cobb for 45 years before his retirement. He was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church at Pine Ridge. He was a 50 year member of the Mtn. View Masonic Lodge. He is survived by one son, Walter Dee Bond and his wife, Faye of Eakly; one daughter, Lynda Brewster and her husband Rick of Carnegie; five grandchildren, Ray Gene Mayes, Rick Mayes, Richard Riley, Deanna Veal of Jason Brewster; 10 great-grandchildren, Charity Veal, Chastity Veal, Karissa Riley, Brandon Riley, Breanna Riley, Emily Mayes, Zachary Mayes, Hannah Mayes, Michael Mayes and Billy Ray Mayes; one brother, Waymund Bond of Cortez, Colorado; two sister, Winnie Anderson of Seattle, Washington and Armetta Knowles of North Hollywood, California; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Hazel, one daughter, Shirley Mayes and two brothers and two sisters. Burial was in the Carnegie Cemetery under the direction of Pitcher-Hackney Funeral Home.
