CARNEGIE - Funeral for Vincent Bointy, 77, Carnegie, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Cedar Creek United Methodist Church, Carnegie. Wake service will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at Pitcher-Hackney Funeral Chapel, Carnegie. Mr. Bointy died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2003, at an Oklahoma City hospital. Burial will be at Mount Scott Tribal Cemetery, Meers. He was born Dec. 10, 1925, in Carnegie to William and Sally Hokeah Bointy. He married Rosalia Grace Kauyedauty on April 3, 1948, in Vernon, Texas. He was a statistical engineer with Western Electric in Oklahoma City. He and his family lived in the Oklahoma City and Anadarko areas before moving to Carnegie in 1975. He was a member of Cedar Creek United Methodist Church in Carnegie. His Indian name was Sun Boy. Survivors include his wife, of the home; seven daughters: Sandra Tsotigh, Verna Bointy, Sharyl Loyd and Doris Johnson, all of Anadarko; Emmabelle Parton, Carnegie; Rosemary Bointy, Elgin; and Charlotte Cotanny, Bamberg, Germany; two sons: Byron C. Bointy, Edmond; and Charls H. Bointy, Boulder, Colo.; 20 grandchildren; three great-granddaughters; five sisters: Charlotte Doxtator, Oklahoma City; Donna Gardner, Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.; Mary Beth Josh and Edna Bointy, both of Anadarko; and Mary Lee, Elgin; and five brothers: Archie Curley, Jack Bointy and Joe Bointy, all of Anadarko; R.H. "Hess" Bointy, Carnegie; and Joe Farias, Oklahoma City. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Ronald Bointy; a sister, Sandra Lee Bointy; two brothers: Wallace and Daniel G.
