A wake service was held 30-May-2000 at the Rainy Mountain Kiowa Indian Baptist Church. Burial was in the Rainy Mountain Tribal Cemetery under the direction of the Pitcher-Hackney Funeral Home of Carnegie. Ms. Bear was born 18-Jan-1935 at the Lawton Indian Hospital in Lawton, Ok. to James and Mabel (Hummingbird) Tsoodle. She married Henry William Bear 02-May-1959. She was raised by George and Margaret (Hunt) Tsoodle from the age of one. She attended both grade and high school in Mountain View. She was a member of the Cooperton basketball team. She later attended Bacone Indian College at Muskogee where she was selected football queen in 1954. She attended Rainy Mountain Kiowa Indian Baptist Church in Mountain View and the Victory Assembly of God Church in Anadarko. Preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers, Cleo Gene and Hawley; and two sons, Carroll Lee and Henry William Bear Jr. Survivors include her husband, four sons, 12 grandchildren, six brothers, and six sisters.
