All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Bauer, Bob 1924 - 2005 Bob Bauer, 80, passed away Friday, May 20, 2005. Memorial Mass: 11:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Interment: 3 p.m. in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery with honors. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Arlington. Bob was a longtime member of the Arlington Golf Association and St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church Men's Club. He was a World War II veteran, serving during the Battle of Bastogne, where he was wounded and received a Purple Heart, Bronze Star and Silver Star. In 1957, he received his master's in journalism at the University of North Dakota. He retired from the Bureau of Indian Affairs at Anadarko, Okla. Throughout his retirement, his family was the most important thing to him. Survivors: Wife of 35 years, Rita Bauer of Arlington; five children; two stepchildren; and 22 grandchildren.
