Officiating was the Rev. Doug Foster, pastor and the Rev. David Forester, director of missions for the Caddo Baptist Association, assisting. Burial was at 3 p.m. in the Fairvew Cemetery in Shawnee, Ok. under the direction of the Steverson Funeral Home of Anadarko. Burke was born 19-Aug-1913 in Hope, Arkansas. He married the former Alice Miller 17-Feb-1937 in Shawnee. He was a retired employee of the Continental Telephone Company and was also engaged in farming and ranching. He came to Oklahoma 43 years ago living in the Cyril area. Survivors include his wife of the home; one son, Dewey Allen Burke of Victorville, Calif.; two daughters, Karen Langilotti of Cyril, Ok., and Glenda McCaskill of Chickasha, Ok.; three sisters, Hessie Bearden of Sylvania, Ohio,Thelma Friddle of Albany, Calif., and Arra Epperson of Rawlings, Wyo.; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two half-brothers, Calvin Burke of Odessa, Tx., and Duane Burke of Newkirk, Ok.; and five half-sisters, Mildred Givens of Anadarko, Ok., Marcine Coats of Newkirk, Ok., Darlene Bosler of Hamilton, Ohio, Lenora Bingham of Odessa, Tx., and Janice Kelly of Olivehurst, Calif.
