Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Memory Gardens Cemetery with Dr. Jim Prock, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Brookshire was born in Tabler, Okla., and had been a resident of Pampa most of his life. He married Mary Elizabeth Robinson in 1961 at Anadarko, Okla. He was employed by Curtis Well Service and also had worked for many other companies in the Pampa area. He attended Baptist churches. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Katherine Gilbert of Lefors; two sons, Martin Guy Brookshire and Johnny Lee Brookshire, both of Pampa; his mother and stepfather, Waulita and Troy Purvis of Pampa; four brothers, Lee Brookshire of Oklahoma, John H. Brookshire and Willie Chisum, both of Pampa, and Floyd Brookshire of Ardmore, Okla.; a sister, Linda Alfaro of Pampa; four granddaughters; and a great-grandson. The family requests memorials be to Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and Life Enrichment Center in Amarillo.
