All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Britton, Louise Louise Britton, 91, was born January 28, 1911 Northwest of Binger, OK, on her grandparents homestead. She married Hubert Britton June 12, 1928 at El Reno, OK. She had worked as a cook in the Binger Public Schools for 29 years before retiring in 1974. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge and the Binger Congregational Church. Louise's favorite pastime after retiring was quilting. After the age of eighty, she pieced twenty-six Christmas quilts and several other quilts for family members. She quilted many of these by herself and others with the help of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Hubert, her son, Oren F. (Barney) Britton, her parents Oren A. and Carrie B. Keller, her sister, Helen Williams, and her brother Johnnie E. Keller. Survivors include: one son and his wife, Buddy &Janet Britton of Binger, five grandchildren, Betsy Simpson of Cordell, Joe Britton of Binger, Terry Britton of Owasso, Berry Britton of Tulsa, and Sherry Britton of Stillwater; four great grandchildren and five great- great grandchildren. Services: 2:00 PM, Thurs., Sept. 26, 2002 at the Binger Congregational Church, Binger, OK. Officiating: Rev. Jake Hicks. Burial: Murray Cemetery - Binger, Oklahoma, under the Direction of the Turner Funeral Home, Binger, OK.
