Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery, located east of Apache, Ok. under the direction of the Crews Funeral Home of Apache, Ok. Brown was born 05-Apr-1915 in Fayette co., Al. to William Samuel and Rosie Allie (Champion) Lee. She married 23-Dec-1933 Howard Russell Brown in Anadarko, Ok. She came from Alabma to Washington, Ok. with her parents in 1919 and moved to the Broxton community, northwest of Apache, Ok She attended school at Iron Chapel in McClain co., Ok. and Broxton. She was a member of the Hopewell Missionary Church, south of Fort Cobb, Ok., from 1948 until 1973. She was a member of the Apache First Baptist Church. She and her husband moved into Apache in 1973. She was a seamstress and owned a fabric shop for several years. She also helped her husband farm until 1987. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; six brothers, Earl, Boyd, Beige, Elvin, Claudie and Joseph Lee; six sisters, Corene (Lee) Michener, Allean Lee, Cassie (Lee) Bynum, Olga Lee, Jeffie (Lee) Couch and Abbie (Lee) Atkinson. Survivors are three daughters, three sons, 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and two brothers.
