Cook, a pioneer resident of Cement, died Tuesday, October 23 (1956) at 3:40 p.m. at his home there following a long illness. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the First Christian Church at Cement. Rev. Paul Wallace, pastor of the church, officiated at the service and the Anadarko Funeral Home was in charge of the burial at the IOOF cemetery at Cement. Mr. Cook, a retired farmer, came to the Cement area when the country was first opened. He was born in Tennessee and was married to Miss Edna Parker in Springfield, Mo., January 3, 1915. He was a member of the First Christian Church. Survivors include the wife; a son, C. Phil Cook, and a granddaughter of Anadarko.
