::Memory Lane Cemetery--Anadarko OK

Mary Ellen Cost

ANADARKO, Okla. - Mary Ellen Cost, 76, died Wednesday, Dec. 15, 1999.

Mass will be at 10 a.m. today in St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Burial 
will be in Memory Lane Cemetery by Steverson Funeral Home of Anadarko.

Mrs. Cost was born in Apache and moved to Fort Sill when she was in high 
school. At Lawton High School, she participated in the glee club and band. 
She graduated in 1940 then attended Cameron College. During World War II, 
she worked as a dental hygienist at Fort Sill.

After the war, she moved to Anadarko where she worked in the family 
business, Stevens and Roberts Real Estate and Insurance. She worked for 
Western Farmers Electric from 1968 until her retirement. She was a member 
of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.

She married Mickey Cost in 1945 at Fort Sill. He preceded her in death in 
1989.

Survivors include her son, Steve Cost of Amarillo; a sister, Jo Malon of 
Anadarko; three brothers, Jim Smith of Corona, Calif., Frank Smith of 
Houston and Tony Smith of Tennessee; and a grandson.
