The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. ==================================================================== Surnames: Cochran, Schnegelsiepen March 23, 1999 William Ralph 'Buster' Cochran Graveside services were held 27-Mar-1999 in the Gracemont cemetery for William Ralph 'Buster' Cochran under the direction of the Steverson Funeral Home in Anadarko. He died 23-Mar-1999 in Oklahoma City, Ok. Cochran was born 22-Jul-1915 in Gracemont to William Fred and Mena (Schnegelsiepen) Cochran. He grew up in Gracemont where he graduated from high school. He later graduated from the Anadarko Business College. He enlisted in the United States Navy during World War II and served on several ships including the City of Savannah, the Jean Nicolet, the Talisman, and the Elmira Victory while in the South Pacific. He also spent some time in the Merchant Marines. He went to work after the service for the Anderson-Pritchard Oil Company at the refinery in Cyril, Ok., he was transferred to Oklahoma City where he became supervisor of the chemical solvent department. He retired with 40 years of service at APCO. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Katy. Survivors include several caring nephews and nieces and other relatives. --------------------------------------------------------------------
