Caddo died in the emergency room of the Anadarko Municipal Hospital Wednesday after a domestic dispute at his residence at 605 E. Broadway. Cathy Diane Klieber, 48, of Anadarko has been booked into the Caddo County jail on a charge of first degree murder in connection with his death. The Anadarko police report states the police were notified at 10 a.m. Thursday by the medical examiner's office Caddo died from "blunt trauma" and the autopsy showed evidence that Caddo suffered from a lacerated spleen. A witness at the residence on East Broadway told police she, Klieber and Caddo were "walking around town drinking" and they went to Caddo's residence where they continued to drink. She said Caddo and Klieber started arguing about one of Caddo's former girlfriends and the witness said Klieber picked up a stick, about 4-5 feet in length and 2-3 inches in diameter. She said she saw Klieber hit Caddo with the stick twice and when they came back into the living room, Caddo had blood at the corners of his mouth. The witness said Klieber called 911, but Caddo hung up the phone, saying he did not need help. The 911 dispatcher on duty called the number back and Klieber stated she needed an ambulance because Caddo was spitting up blood. The witness said Caddo began to breathe with a strange sound and his eyes rolled back in his head. She said the police arrived and the ambulance, which took Caddo to the hospital where he died. The police report states Klieber was taken into protective custody at the Anadarko hospital. The report states Klieber became upset and threatened to harm herself after learning Caddo was dead. She was taken to the Taliaferro Mental Health Center in Lawton and was released from there to the city police on Thursday. Klieber told police she hit Caddo with a six-foot limb and that afterward, he sat down in a chair and had a seizure. Services for Caddo are to be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, at the Smith Funeral Chapel. --------------------------------------------------------------------
