Gary Butler of Anadarko and the Rev. Alvin Roberts of Cyril officiating. Mr. Clift died in an Anadarko hospital Saturday morning, December 20, 1986. He was born in Caddo County and lived all his life in the Cement-Cyril-Fletcher area. He drove a truck for Grant-Gibson Trucking of Chickasha for 10 years. He then worked as a trucker for the Regal Oil Company of Cyril before retiring in 1978. He married Alice Edwards on February 2, 1934 in Cyril. They lived in Fletcher from 1972 until 1980, and had lived at their present home since 1980. Mr. Clift was a member of the First Assembly of God Church of Anadarko. Survivors include his wife, Alice, of the home; two sons, Cary and John, both of Chickasha; three daughters, Laverne Simmons and Glenda Beavers, both of Fletcher, Barbara Lewis of North Bend, Ore.; one brother, Woodrow of California; four sisters, Elma Walker and Isla Roberts, both of Cyril, Wanda Butler of Anaarko and Ruth Moore of Arcadia; 18 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Burial will be in Anadarko's Memory Lane Cemetery under the direction of Robbins Funeral Home, Fletcher. (NOTE: Eldon Everett Clift was the son of Everett Jackson and Rose Ethyl (Weber) Clift. His brothers and sisters are as follows: Infant Clift (1911-1912), Elma Maxine Clift Walker (1912-1999), Isla Marie Clift Roberts, Woodrow Wayne Clift, Vernon Ray Clift (31-Dec-1924/ 12-Dec-1986), Wanda Mabel Clift Butler and Naoma Ruth Clift Moore (1931-1988). He was the grandson of Andrew Jackson and Martha Ellen (Heavin) Clift and James Isaac and Ersley (Corder) Weber. His family is from Phelps and Dent counties in Missouri.)
