Mrs. Caldwell died Monday, 06-Nov-2000 at the Presbyterian Hospital in Oklahoma City, Ok. Officiating was the Rev. Scott Lenaburg. Burial was in the Lookeba Cemetery under the direction of the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home of Hinton. Mrs. Caldwell was born 19-May-1921 in Gans, Sequoyah county, Ok. to Richard Columbus 'Lum' and Lucy 'Kitty' Ruth (Kidd) Taylor. She married Pete Caldwell 07-Sep-1942 at Sallisaw, Sequoyah county, Ok. She and her husband resided in the Sallisaw area until 1962 when they moved to the Lookeba-Sickles community. She was a homemaker who helped raise 33 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren, who she lived for. Preceding her in death was one daughter, Erma Lynn Caldwell; one son, Danny D. Caldwell; one grandchild, Timothy Scott Caldwell; her parents; three sisters, Lizzie Crab, Nellie Longcrier and Ada Green; four brothers, Tom, Dude, Bill and Lee Taylor, and one special friend, Jewel Ware. Survivors include her husband of the home; children--Alpha Tillman of Hinton, Ok., Larry and Ruth Baker of Lookeba, Ok., Roy and Monnie Caldwell of Edmond, Ok., Donna Coats of Weatherford, Ok., Donnie and Debbie Caldwell of Yukon, Ok., Max and Judy Wiley of Hinton, Ok., Lucy Caldwell of Weatherford, Ok., Brad and Mary Lambert of Hinton, Ok., Mark and Brenda Caldwell of Hydro, Ok., and Jon and Terri Caldwell of Hinton, Ok.; 33 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; a special sister-in-law and life long friend, Cora Lee and Pauline Taylor, both of Sallisaw, Ok., and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
