Mrs. Clayton died Wednesday February 2, 2005, in Cement at her home. ========== The Chickasha Express-Star 7 February 2005 KATHERINE M. CLAYTON Funeral for Katherine M. Clayton, 64, of Cement will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 8, 2005 in First Baptist Church, Cement, Okla., with Rev. Richard Colbert officiating. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery, Chickasha, under the direction of Jefferson Funeral Home. Mrs. Clayton died February 2, 2005 in Cement, Okla., following a lengthy illness. She was born to C. C. and Frankie Craine on July 21, 1940 in Cement, Okla. She was a lifelong resident ot Cement. She was married to Elmer L. Clayton on August 31, 1963 in Chickasha, Okla. She was a member at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Cement. Over the years she served as Sunday School teacher, Secretary of the Sunday School Dept., President of the Missionary Society Women Intermediate Auxiliary, Kitchen Supervisor, Custodian, President of the Senior Choir, member of the Decorating Committee, Church Clerk, a member of the New Hope District Congress Association. She leaves to cherish her memory husband, Elmer Lee, Sr.; five children and their spouses, Ruby and husband Floyd Brown of Weatherford, Okla., Sergeant Major Elmer Clayton, Jr., and wife Elisabeth of El Paso, TX, Paul Clayton and wife Melissa of Oklahoma City, OK, Janice Clayton of Geronimo, OK and Brenda and husband, Dr. Victor Ortuno, Winchester, CA; nine sisters and brothers, Esther Brown, Chickasha, Olivia McDowell, Cement, C. C. Craine, Jr., Duncan, Laurine Smith, Lawton, William Craine, Duncan, Freda Howard, Lawton, Sanford Craine, Austin, TX, Alyce Franklin and husband, Thomas, Lawton, Willa Reece, Cement, sister-in-law, Harriet Craine, Fort Worth, Texas; ten grandchildren, Lacretia Brown, Brandon Brown, Justin Clayton, Jordon Clayton, Jadin Clayton, Victor Orunto IV, Taryn Clayton, Gabriela Ortuno, Isabela Ortuno, and Michaela Clayton; and two step- grandchildren, Natascha Clayton and Daniel Spangler; and a son in Christ, Ricky Pierce and wife, Sherrie and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
