Clark, 85, died Friday, Oct. 9, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Wheeler Mortuary Chapel with Dr. Philip Fike officiating. Burial will be in Portales Cemetery. Mr. Clark was born in Gracemont, Okla. In 1943, he moved to Portales, where he owned a farm east of town. He also leased land in the area to farm until he retired in 1975. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He married Ruey Long in 1936 at Chickasha, Okla. He was preceded in death by two sons, Robert Charles Clark, who died at birth, and Charles D. Clark, in 1984, and by a daughter, Sue Lee, in 1984. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Margaret Riley and Judy Johnson, both of Clovis; two brothers, Dee Clark of Vernon, Texas, and Jesse Clark of Tulsa, Okla.; two sisters, Elizabeth Russell of Livermore, Calif., and Thelma Browning of Hopewell, Va.; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and three great-greatgrandchildren. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Caddo County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/caddo/caddo.html
