Mrs. Chambers died Tuesday, 19-Dec-2000 in Hydro, Ok. Officiating was the Rev. Don Chambers and the Rev. Roger Parker. Burial was in the Eakly Cemetery under the direction of the Lockstone Funeral Home of Weatherford, Ok. Mrs. Chambers was born 10-Apr-1916 in Washita county to Goy and Olive (Owen) Goodwin. She had been a resident of the Eakly community since 1924. She was a member of the Eakly First Methodist Church and a Sunday school teacher for several years. She was a member of the United Methodist Women and was a charter member of the Eakly Home Demonstration Club. She assisted her husband with their farming operation and was a homemaker. She was a faithful, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who taught and showed her family abundant love. She leaves behind a legacy of love that made everyone richer for knowing her. Preceding her in death were her parents; step-mother, Alberta Little; one brother, Kenneth Goodwin and one sister, Edith Huckaby. Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Raymond, of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Bruce and Judy Chambers of Eakly, and Michael and Eunice Chambers of Oklahoma City, Ok.; three grandchildren, Sherrie (Chambers) Keenum and her husband, John, of Edmond, Ok., Kent Chambers of Eakly and Chris Chambers of Dallas, Texas; three great grandchildren, Ashlee, Haylee and Brandon Keenum, all of Edmond, Ok.; three brothers, Bruce Goodwin of Nevada, Gerald Goodwin of Washington, and Phillip Goodwin of California; and one sister, Stella Trimble of California. --------------------------------------------------------------------
