CANNON Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon for Oscar Ted CANNON, 72, of Cement who died in Cyril Saturday morning. Officiating at the services, held in the Methodist Church in Cyril, were Rev. Harry BOWMAN and Rev. A.E. HENDRICKS. Burial was in the I.0.0.F. Cementery at Cement with Cyril Funeral Home in charge of arrangments. Military rites were conducted by military personel from Ft. Sill. CANNON was born February 22, 1893 in Graham, Oklahoma. He was married to Ann BENZEL in Sherman, Texas, August 2, 1944. They later moved to Cement where Mrs. CANNON is employed as a school teacher. CANNON served in France during World War I with the American Expeditionary forces. He received his discharge in 1919 and began work in the oil industry. He worked on wildcating ventures in Canada, Wyoming and in the Seminole oil boom. He was a member of the American Legion of Cement and the Masonic Lodge of Milo, Okla. Survivors include the widow of the home; two brothers, Robert of Graham, Okla., Walter of Thermopolis, Wyoming and two sisters of Long Beach California. -------------------------------------------------------------------
