Crow, 85, of Port Hueneme passed away suddenly on Dec. 1, 2006, in Oxnard with his beloved wife, Eve, by his side. Bob was born June 16, 1921, in Apache, Okla., to Bob and Iva Crow. He attended Cameron College in Lawton, Okla., which he left to join the Army Air Force during World War II, where he served in the European Theater. He married Lila Grimsley in 1941. After the war, they moved to Anaheim, Calif., where he worked as a purchasing agent for North American Aviation for 10 years and as the western regional sales manager with Howell Instruments for 25 years. They moved to Hueneme Bay in 1980. Bob was active in the Kiwanis Club for many years and served as president of the local chapter. He loved to play golf and swim, had a wonderful sense of humor and a twinkle in his eye. He was well-loved by his friends and family. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lila, in 2003 and by his parents. He is survived by his best friend, soulmate and bride, Eve Hill Crow; loving sisters, Aileen Pembroke of Port Hueneme and Ruth Glover of Sulfer, Okla.; brother-in-law, Glenn Grimsley; dear nieces, Katherine Snow and Gayle Heninger, all of Southern California; well-loved stepchildren, Pamela (husband Bill) Austin of Santa Rosa, Calif., Russ (wife Nancy) Davis of Granada Hills; step-grandchldren, Matt, Danielle (fiance John Schmaltz) and Allison Davis and special grand dog, Gracie; dear friends, Pat and Bob Fiers; and several special friends in Hueneme Bay. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6 at Conrad-Carroll Mortuary Chapel, 401 W. Channel Islands Blvd., Oxnard. The family welcomes all who loved Bob and Eve to join us in celebrating his life. Memorial donations may be made in his memory to Harbor Community Church, 3100 Preble Ave., Ventura, CA 93003.
