Burial was in Memory Lane Cemetery at Anadarko under the direction of Smith Funeral Chapel of Anadarko. Allen was born 21-Oct-1906 north of Gracemont on the VanDeventer homestead to CHARLES and MATTIE ALICE (BANNING) VANDEVENTER. She married 19-Nov-1933 at the Gracemont Methodist Church CARL MELVIN ALLEN. She graduated from Gracemont High School in 1926. She became a member of the Methodist church at the age of six. He was also a member of the Rebekah Lodge. She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, BUSTER ALLEN; a granddaughter, SHONDA ALLEN; a great-grandson, JACOB CRAIN; a brother, VERNIE VANDEVENTER; her father, mother and step-mother, CHRISTINE VANDEVENTER. Burial was in the Wichita Tribal Cemetery under the direction of the Robbins Funeral Home of Fletcher, comanche co., Ok. Altis was born 22-Jan-1934 in Lawton to NUSS and ELLA STEPHENSON. She married 12-Jul-1962, CALVIN 'DEE' JOHNSON. She grew up in the Gracemont and Anadarko areas, moving to Cement in 1966, where she lived until her death. She worked as an AOA director for the Wichita Tribe in Anadarko. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Cement. She was preceded in death by her husband (23-Nov-1974); her parents; granddaughter, ANGEL WARDEN; two brothers, SMILIE STEPHENSON and VERNON STEPHENSON; and three sisters, HELEN STEPHENSON, BARBARA COOK, and ALMA ARREDONDO. Survivors are one daughter, three sons, three sisters, two brothers, and 16 grandchildren.
