All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Altus Times 27 April 2004 Hilda Faye Davis Hilda Faye Davis was born August 3, 1932 in Hydro to Maggie Irene (Coker) and Alford Christian Baumann. She passed away April 25, 2004 at Hobart at the age of 71 years. She was married to Elzie Anson Davis, Jr. at Con-8 Community on December 23, 1955. Hilda grew up and attended school at Hydro and Geary. She worked for Southwestern Bell for a while as a telephone operator. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, quilting, gardening, loved to fish, but most of all she enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She enjoyed life and the outdoors. She and Junior owned and operated the Davis Station in Roosevelt and helped Junior farm. She was a member of Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers Alford and Jerry Baumann. She is survived by her husband, Junior Davis, of the home; three children, Charlotte and Gary Branam of Hobart, Terry and Lynn Davis of Roosevelt, Rick and Christi of Lawton; three grandchildren, Lori Robbins of Hobart, Tyler Davis of Cordell, Valerie Davis of Lawton; four great grandchildren, Nikki and Nathan Robbins and Reese and Danielle Davis; five sisters, Alda Lang of Marietta, Pearl Stephenson of Durant, Irene Stephenson of Justin, Texas, Phyllis Feltman of Durant, Cathy Baumann of Snyder; one brother, John Baumann of Red Oak, Texas and a host of other relatives and friends. Services will be held April 28, 2004 at 1:00 pm at Warren First Baptist Church, officiated by Terry Dennis.
