Doughty died 29-Nov-2000 at Mercy Health Center in Oklahoma City, Ok. Officiating will be the Rev. Herbert Els and the Rev. Steve Ruiz. Burial will be in Anadarko's Memory Lane cemetery under the direction of the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home of Hinton. Doughty was born 24-Oct-1910 in Homestead, Blaine county, Ok. to Floyd and Nellie (Miller) Doughty. He married the former Dorothy Cleo Heaven 13-Mar-1937 at Cement, Ok. He graduated from Homestead High School in 1928 and attended Northwestern State Teacher's College at Alva for two years. He spent most of his life in the construction business, building highways and producing construction materials. In 1965 he joined the City Street Department in Oklahoma City, Ok. as their office manager, retiring in 1976. At that time he and his wife moved to Cedar Lake where he resided until a few months ago. He attended Cedar Lake Chapel. Preceding him in death was his wife on 13-Aug-1981; his parents; two brothers, Floyd Jr. and Eddie; and two sisters, Thelma Wilson and Nettie Doughty. Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Sharon Doughty of Edmond, Ok., Lanny and Judy Doughty of Albuquerque, N.M., and Michael and Teresa Doughty of Oklahoma City, Ok.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah K. and Earl Wietelman of Eufaula, Ok. and Diane and Brent Esgar of Oklahoma City, Ok.; 11 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two brothers, Ralph Doughty of Oklahoma City and Dennis Lynn Doughty of Trinity, Tx., and one sister, Elsie Warkentin of Enid, Ok.
