Doutrich Services were held 21-Jan-2000 at the Bethel Baptist Church in Anadarko, Caddo co., Ok. for Jewel E. Doutrich who died 17-Jan-2000 at Norman, Cleveland co., Ok. Doutrich was born 14-May-1919 in Gracemont, Caddo co., Ok. to N.O. and Myrtle Garrett. She married 18-Nov-1945 Edward Doutrich. She graduated from Anadarko High School. She also graduated from the Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasha, Grady co., Ok. She taught at Crutcho School in Oklahoma City for two years and then moved to Washington D.C. She received a master's degree from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. and later worked for the War Department. She was an elementary school teacher at McKinney Hills and then became the principal at Rock Creek Forest in Silver Springs, Md. for seven years and later at the Rock Creek Valley school for 13 years. She was a member of Alpha Delta Kappa and the Olivet Baptist Church in Norman. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Melva Davis, and three brothers, Jack, Garland and Pete Garrett. Survivors include her husband, one son, one grandson, and one sister. --------------------------------------------------------------------
