Funeral Rites on Tuesday For Mrs. Duncan Mrs. Sarah Duncan, 80, a resident of Cyril for 51 years, died Sunday in the Cyril hospital after being in poor health several years. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. in the First Baptist church where she had been a member since 1909. Officiating was Rev. John Meador, pastor, assisted by Rev. John Terneus, pastor of the Cyril Methodist church. Burial was in the Cement cemetery. Mrs. Duncan was born March 27, 1879, in Whiterock, Arkansas. She married William M. Duncan in June, 1898, in Montague county, Texas, and the couple moved to Cyril in 1909. Her husband died in 1926. Survivors include three sons, Floyd, Ormand and Paul, all of Cyril; three daughters, Mrs. Oma Lee Northcutt and Mrs. Orbia Sanders both of Cyril, and Mrs. Wilma Pierce of Oklahoma City; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Duncan and Mrs. Minnie McLaughlin, both of Chickasha; Mrs. Hester Parsons of Cyril and Mrs. Faye Mobley of California, and one brother, Alva Byford of Bowie, Texas, and 14 grandchildren. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Caddo County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/caddo/caddo.html
