Julia Evans

TUCUMCARI, N.M. - Julia Evans, 88, died Monday, April 27, 1998.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Dunn Funeral Home Memorial 
Chapel with the Rev. Wes Stewart, pastor of Temple Baptist Church, 
officiating. Burial will be in Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Evans was born in Carnegie, Okla., and moved to New Mexico in 1934. 
She lived in Las Vegas for a couple of years before moving to San Jon in 
1937. She moved to Tucumcari in 1967.

She was a charter member of Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 62 of San 
Jon and a member of the Golden Link Rebekah Lodge of San Jon. She was 
Methodist.

She was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Gene Rhodes, in 1994.

Survivors include her husband, Clint; two grandchildren; and two great-
grandchildren.

The body will be available for viewing at the funeral home until service 
time.
