The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. ==================================================================== Surnames: Edwards, Hallock The Cyril News no death date Mrs. Pearl Edwards Funeral Service Held for Former Resident of Cyril Last rites for Mrs. Pearl Edwards of Marlow, Ok., a former resident of Cyril, were held Thursday, October 11 (1956) in the First Christian Church at Marlow. The service was held at 1:30 p.m. by Rev. C.W. Abney, minister of the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Cyril, who was assisted by Rev. Bill Crater, pastor of the Marlow Christian church. Burial was at the Anadarko cemetery under the direction of the Tally Funeral Home of Marlow. Ira Miller, Vernie Romine and Buck Callahan of Cyril were three of the men serving as pallbearers. Mrs. Edwards was born April 26, 1911 in Guthrie and moved with her parents to south of Anadarko at an early age. She grew up in the Anadarko area and in April of 1929 was married to George Edwards. The couple moved to southeastern Oklahoma, then to Cyril, where they made their home until moving to Marlow about five years ago. Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Peggy Waldo and one son, Gene Edwards of Marlow; her mother, Mrs. Jennie Hallock of Anadarko; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Claws of Tulsa and Mrs. June Acton of Marlow; also two brothers, Clifton and Clarence, both of Arizona. --------------------------------------------------------------------
