All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== DALE FOSTER Published on May 16, 1996 The Santa Rosa Press Democrat Foster, a 55-year Santa Rosa resident, died of cancer Sunday at a local hospital. He was 76. Born in Fort Cobb, Okla., Foster lived in California since 1938 after moving from Arizona. He built his Santa Rosa home in 1953. Foster worked for the old Golden Gate Ice Cream Co. The business was purchased by Foremost and now is Foremost-McKesson. He enjoyed lake fishing with a group of buddies. He also liked all sports and was described as "a wonderful friend to a lot of people" by his daughter, Linda Norris of Santa Rosa. He also treasured neighborhood friendships. He was a Deacon at the Presbyterian Church of the Roses in Santa Rosa. He also was a member of the Independent Order of Foresters. Besides his daughter, Foster is survived by his wife, Lenore Foster of Santa Rosa; and one granddaughter. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. today at the Chapel at Santa Rosa Memorial Park, 1900 Franklin Ave. Inurnment will be private. Memorial donations are preferred to Home Hospice of Sonoma County, 1110 N. Dutton Ave., Santa Rosa 95401; or the Sonoma County Humane Society, 5345 Sebastopol Road, Santa Rosa 95407, or to Canine Companions for Independence, P.O.
