Officiating at the services was Rev. Travis Carlson, pastor. Burial was in the Rose Cemetery at Hobart under the direction of the Peoples Cooperative Funeral Home of Lone Wolf, Ok. Mr. Gish was born 25-May-1918 in Anadarko to Elmer Warren and Edna Richmond Gish. He married the former Georgia Mae Zoeliner 12-Aug-1940 in Mountain View, Kiowa county, Ok. He attended the Hobart Public Schools and attended Oklahoma Military Academy in Claremore, Rogers county, Ok. His father started in the funeral home business in 1901 in Anadarko, Oklahoma Territory with the Gish Brothers Funeral Home. He and his family moved to Hobart when he was six years old. He served the families of the Hobart area as Funeral Director of the Gish Funeral Home for almost 60 years. He was a member of the Rotary Club and served two terms as mayor of Hobert. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Hobart. Preceding him in death was his wife on 31-Aug-1997; his parents and one brother, Warren Gish. Survivors include two sons, three granddaughters, and one great grandson.
