Officiating was Rev. Burl Mackey, pastor. Burial was in the Memory Lane Cemetery in Anadarko under the direction of the Sevier Funeral Home. Griffitts was born 31-Mar-1909 in Indiahoma, Ok. He married 28-Feb- 1931 in Cordell, Ok., Ruby Blackley. He lived in Caddo county for almost 25 years. He farmed in Caddo County and later owned and operated U Lodge in Chickasha. He was a member of the Verden First Baptist Church. Preceding him in death was one son, James O. Girffitts, Jr., in 1982; his parents; two brothers and one sister. Survivors include his wife, two sons, one brother, six grandchildren and three great- grandchildren. --------------------------------------------------------------------
