Goergen died Sunday, 10-Dec-2000 at his home in Carnegie after an extended illness. Officiating was the Rev. Arthur Blount. Burial was in the Carnegie Cemetery under the direction of Pitcher-Hackney Funeral Home of Carnegie. Goergen was born 22-Aug-1951 to Johnnie H. and Billie (Green) Goergen in Oklahoma City, Ok. He married the former Marilyn McGill 25-Jun-1971 in Carnegie. He resided most of his life in the Caddo county area. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Carnegie Masonic Lodge #294. He was an active member of the Carnegie Little League for over 25 years and served as Little League president. He also served as the maylor of Carnegie from 1998-1999. He was very instrumental in numerous projects that benefitted the youth and the community. Preceding him in death was his father, his maternal grandparents, Giles and Blanche Green; and his paternal grandparents, Chris and Mae Goergen. Survivors include his wife of the home; two sons, Travis and Johnnie Joe Goergen, both of Carnegie; his mother and step-father, Billie and Tom Lannigan of Oklahoma City, Ok.; two brothers, Johnnie Chris Goergen of Bajrain, Saudi Arabia and Randall Gene Goergen of Oklahoma City, Ok., and numerous nieces and nephews. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to COUNTY County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/caddo/caddo.html
