Officiating was Rev. L.D. Wilkes. Burial was in the Gracemont Cemetery under the direction of the Sevier Funeral Home. Garrett was born 13-Mar-1896 at Sherman, Texas. He married 06-Jul- 1919 Myrtle Lee Higgins at Binger. He spent his early life in Pontotoc county, Ok. and came to Caddo county in 1911, moving to Chickasha in 1942. He was a World War I veteran and retired from Tinker Air Force Base. He was a member of all Orders of the Oddfellows, Rebekahs and the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. Preceding him in death was one grandson, Frankie Frances Garrett.
