Hoffman Sept. 5, 1914 Mar. 17, 2003 Memorial services will be held at the First Church of Religious Science (222 Eureka St.) on Friday, March 21, 2003, at 3:00 p.m., for Ruby A. Hoffman. Ruby A. Hoffman was born September 5, 1914, in Cement, Oklahoma and she passsed away on March 17, 2003, in Bakersfield with her family by her side. She is preceded in death by her mother, Eliza Jane Doss Matheson; father, John Isaac Matheson; 2 grandchildren, Jennifer Holder and Brian Holder. She is survived by her siblings, Fern Borden, Everett, Dan, Jack Matheson; her husband, of 36 years, Steve Hoffman; son, James Thomas of Bakersfiedl; daughter, Sherry (Harold) Ingram; daughter, LaDonna Mazzia of Bakersfield; daughter, Iris (Jim) Moore of Ventura; son, Michael Holder of Lake Isabella; son, John Patrick Holder of Tucson, AZ; 10 grandchildren, Michael, Mark, Lori, Robin Kelly, Jennifer, Melinda, Natalie, Jessie and Tony; 14 great-grandchildren, Steven, Nathan, Adam, Matthew, Brittany, Robin, Courtney, Nicole, Katy, Tara, Mea, James, Mike, Kale; 5 great- great-grandchildren, Dominic, Betsy, Dylan, Alan James, and Austan; special loved ones, Chet Thomas and Larry Giddens. Ruby was employed by McMahans Furniture Stores in Taft, Bakersfield and Los Angeles for 25 years. Those who knew her loved and cared about her; and she will be deeply missed.
