The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. ===================================================================== Surnames: HIXON, BIZZELL Obit from Carnegie Herald, June 24, 1936 Frank Hixon--Frank Hixon was born in Granger county, TN, March 10, 1868, and died at his home in Eakly Thursday, June 18, 1936, at the age of 68 years, 3 months & 8 days. He moved with his parents to Howell county, Missouri in 1879 and was married to Sarah Jane Bizzell January 3, 1892. To this union was born six children, four girls and 2 boys. All have preceeded him in death except two, one son, James Luther Hixon of Alfalfa and one daughter, Lillie May Riley of San Antonio, Texas both of whom were with him at the time of his death. He was converted at the age of 20 years and united with the Nazarene church at Eschol Valley in 1903. He continued in his faith in Christ to the end. His last words were "Jesus, hold my hand." He has been a resident of Washita and Caddo counties since 1898 and has always been a true friend and neighbor and was loved by all who knew him. He leaves to mourn him his wife, and little granddaughter, Inez Arnold whom he has reared since a babe of 5 days of age; his son and daughter; a son-in-law, G.W. Arnold of Cogar, father of Inez; ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren, who were all present at the time of his death except two. Also five brothers: J.R. of Carnegie; Murry of Tacoma, Wash.; J.S. of Stroud; Edd of Cureall, MO.; C.H. of Caruthers, calif.; and a host of neices, nephews, cousins, neighbors and friends who sincerely mourn their loss. Funeral services were conducted at the Assembly of God church in Eakly Friday afternoon by Rev. C.C. Comer and burial was made in the Eakly cemetery.--Reported (He is apparently buried in the Alfalfa Cemetery not Eakly. At least he has a tombstone in Alfalfa Cemetery. Lillian)
