Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, 05-Jun-2000 at the 
First Baptist Church in Apache for Gwendolin 'Gwen' Hudgins, 89, of 
Apache, who died 02-Jun-2000 in Waco, Texas. Officiating was Rev. 
A.L. Swagerty. Burial was in Apache's Fairview Cemetery under the 
direction of the Crews Funeral Home of Apache.

Mrs. Hudgins was born 13-Sep-1910 in Binger to Francis Marion and 
Sarah Elizabeth (Stall) Crawford. She moved to Montage County, Texas 
as an infant and moved back to Oklahoma in 1923 where she lived near 
Carnegie. She then moved to the Boone Community in 1930 and to 
Apache in 1946. She served as the Apache City Treasurer for 28 years 
and was dispatcher for the Apache Police Department for 19 of those 
years. She was employed by the Apache Telephone Company as a 
telephone operator from 1950 until 1957. She was a member of the 
First Baptist Church of Apache.

Survivors include one son, two daughters, five grandchildren, 12 
great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
