Anadarko Daily News February 8, 1981 # 465 Services have been scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Monday at the Smith Funeral Chapel for Alene O. Holdge, 70, of Fort Cobb. Karl Crouch of Oklahoma City will Officiate assisted by Dale Hill of Washita. Burial will be in Memory Lane Cemetery. Mrs. Holdge was born in Carter County, Nov. 7, 1910. She died Friday in Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City. She was a housewife and had lived in the County 55 years. She married Howard Holdge, Jan. 12, 1929 in McAlester. Survivors include her husband of the home, three daughters, Maxine Reggio of Bethany, Mona Jean Berndsen of Fort Cobb and Daisy Vaughan of Norman; one son Billy Don of Fort Cobb, one brother, M.D. Lynn of Washington State; one sister, Emma Upton of Colton, Calif., 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. **Holdge, Alene O. Fort Cobb News February 12, 1981 (Mrs. Holdge Last Rites Held) # 465 Funeral services for Mrs. Howard (Alene) Holdge, 70, of Fort Cobb, were held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, Feb. 9, at the Smith Funeral Chapel in Anadarko. Karl Crouch of Oklahoma City officiated, assisted by Dale Hill of Washita. Mr. Crouch and Mr. Hill furnished the music, songs were "Farther Along". "Empty Mansions" and "Where the Soul Never Dies" at the Cemetery everyone sand "In the Garden". Pallbearers and Honorary bearers were grandsons and grandsons- in-law; Rodney Holdge, Steve Holdge, James Lee Holdge, Eric Vaughan, David English, Jimmy Ewalt, Michael H. Reggio, David Reggio, Mike Brewer, Ronald Roland, Roy Berndsen, Robert Berndsen, Marvin Turney, John Bryan, Randy Vaughan and Joseph Reggio. Interment was in the Anadarko Memory Lane Cemetery. Mrs. Holdge died Friday Feb. 6, in Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City. Alene Lynn was born at Ardmore, in Carter County on November 7, 1910 she was married to Howard Holdge on January 12, 1929 at McAlester, a union of 52 years. They moved to the Washita Community a week later and farmed in this area until they retired two years ago. Mrs. Holdge was a member of the Washita Christian Church. Also, she was a member of the Willing Workers Club at the Church for many years. She was preceded in death by one son, James. Survivors include her husband of the home; Three daughters, Maxine Reggio, of Bethany, Mona Jean Berndsen, of Fort Cobb, and Daisy Vaughan, of Norman; one son Billy Don Holdge of Fort Cobb; and one brother M.D. Lynn, of Wash.; one sister Emma Upton, of Colton, Calif.; 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
