Services Held For Henderson Funeral services for Billie Ann Henderson, 58, of Fort Cobb were held at 3 pm Friday in the First United Methodist Church in Fort Cobb. The Rev. Theron Diehl, pastor, officiated. Mrs. Henderson died Tuesday, January 22 in Carnegie. Music for the service was furnished by Alleece Hawkings, pianist, who accompanied Fairy Holdge who sang 'In the Garden' and 'No Tears Tomorrow; and Ron Badverg of Nebraska City, Nebraska who sang 'How Great Thou Art.' Pallbearers were Harold Henderson, Glenn Henderson, Ralph Henderson, Herbert Henderson, Curt Henderson and Carl Weaver. Burial was in Fort Cobb Cemetery under direction of Fort Cobb Funeral Home. Billie Ann Hill was born September 2, 1926, at Gotebo, the daughter of Roy and Ethel Hill. She grew up in Carnegie and graduated from Carnegie High School. Billie was married to Vernon L. Henderson June 19, 1945 at Little Rock, Arkansas. The Hendersons had lived in Fort Cobb their entire married life and for several years operated a cafe here. For the past seven years, Billie had been an employee of the Best Western in Anadarko. She was a member of the Methodist Chruch. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Dorothy, other brother Don and an infant son Gilbert Roy. Survivors include her husband, Vernon of the home; two sons, Chester and Bobby, both of Fort Cobb; three daughters, Ilona Cooper and Laine Henderson, both of Fort Cobb and Candice Hamilton of Laverne; five sisters, Royce Salyer of Dennison, Texas, Perdita Reid of College Station, Texas, Betty Stewart of Guymon, Kathryn Guest of Cornith, Kansas, and Sandy Gamel of Layton, Utah; one brother, Jim Hill of Okalhoma City; and fourteen grandchildren. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Caddo County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/caddo/caddo.html
