All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Clyde Henry LEFORS - Clyde "Tooter" Henry, 82, died Monday, Nov. 9, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in First Baptist Church of Lefors with Elmer McLaughlin, minister of the Laketon Church of Christ, and the Rev. Lewis Ellis, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Heights Cemetery in Lefors by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mr. Henry was born in Carnegie, Okla., and moved to Lefors in 1960 from Pampa where he had lived since 1937. He worked on many of the area ranches. He also was the pickup man for the Butler Rodeo Co. and many other rodeo companies. He helped start the White Deer Rodeo. He was a member of Laketon Church of Christ. He married Evelyn Horton in 1989 in Sayre, Okla. He was preceded in death by an infant son. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Tom Henry of Chino, Calif., Raymond Henry of Lefors and Allen Henry of Hokes Bluff, Ala.; two stepdaughters, Joann Vinyard of Oklahoma City and Polly Smith of Jones, Okla.; a sister, Beulah Melson of Moses Lake, Wash.; three grandchildren; a great-grandchild; four stepgrandchildren; and eight stepgreatgrandchildren. The family will be at 508 E. Thut Street in Lefors. They suggest memorials be to the American Cancer Society.
