Henry, Cheyenne physician, was buried at his boyhood home, Pawnee, Oklahoma, on last Friday afternoon. Funeral services were conducted in Anadarko on Thursday afternoon. Dr. Henry passed away at the home of Mrs. Henry's twin sister, Mrs. Fay O. Banton in Anadarko, Oklahoma early Wednesday morning, December 26, 1945. Dr. Henry had been taken to Anadarko on Sunday previous to his passing. Death came as the doctor slept. Dr. Henry had been in poor health for the past year and it was with great effort that he stayed up and of the time. He was devoted to his practice and felt that it was his duty to administer to the people as long as he was able. One resident of Cheyenne remarked. "He doctored us when he was the sickest among us." Dr. Henry, who was 57 years of age at the time of his death. He came to Oklahoma when a boy and resided with an aunt at Pawnee where he graduated from he high school of that city. He graduated from the School of Pharmacy of the Oklahoma University and completed two years of medicine there. He graduated from Columbia University in New York City and did two years of interne work in that city. Shortly before World War I he came to Oklahoma and located at Oilton where he engaged in the practice of medicine. Later he volunteered for service in World War I and served in France and England. He returned to Oklahoma in 1919 and engaged in the practice of medicind in Oklahoma City. On December 24, 1919 he was married to Miss May Rector of Anadarko, who survives his death. Dr. Henry resided in Oklahoma City until 1932. Dr. and Mrs. Henry came to Cheyenne from Braman, Oklahoma, five years ago and established their home in this city where he engaged in the practice of medicine. He readily built uip a practice which continued to grow until his death. Dr. Henry was the old family physician type of his patients and was a real friend to the families. Dr. Henry was a member of the Methodist Church and the Kiwanis Club of Cheyenne and was a loyal, faithful member to each. He unscientiously performed any duty asssigned to him and he wil be greatly missed by each of these organizations. The passing of Dr. Henry leaves a vacancy in the business, church and club life of Cheyenne that will long be felt.
