HERBERT Joseph C. Herbert, 82, father of Mrs. Vernon Williams of Cyril, died about 6:30 p.m. Sunday at his farm home one mile south of Fletcher and services were held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Fletcher. Officiating at the rites in the Baptist church were Rev. Melvin Moody, pastor. Burial in the Fletcher cemetery under the direction of the Dalton Funeral Home. Born April 24, 1876 in Bates county, Missouri, Herbert came to Oklahoma with his wife, the former Mary McDaniel in 1924, and had resided in the Fletcher area since that time.
