All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Lawton Constitution 30 May 2004 James Myers Horse Jr. CARNEGIE -- Funeral for James Myers Horse Jr., 76, Carnegie, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Cedar Creek Methodist Church, Carnegie, with the Rev. Monroe Tsatoke and the Rev. Sam Horse officiating. Mr. Horse died Friday, May 28, 2004, at a Lawton hospital. Interment will be at Cedar Creek Cemetery, Carnegie, under direction of Pitcher-Hackney Funeral Home, Carnegie. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at the church. He was born Sept. 22, 1928, in Carnegie to the Rev. James Myers and May Hummingbird Whitehorse Horse Sr. He attended Riverside Indian School and served in the Marine Corp during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Kiowa Tribe, the Kiowa Black Leggings and the Native American Marine Corp Veterans. He worked as a telephone lineman in California and Broken Bow. Survivors include a son, Maj. T. Jay Hunting Horse, Norfolk, Va.; two daughters: Terri Lynn Hart and Sharon Denise Fitsimmons, both of Broken Bow; five grandchildren: Anthony Littlecalf, Ivan Littlecalf, William Littlecalf, Eric Littlecalf and Natacha Littlecalf; and six brothers: Curtis R. Horse, Midwest City; Donald L. Horse and Billy D. Horse, both of Carnegie; Larry K. Horse, Anadarko; Ronald Twohatchet, Lawton; and Dr. Perry Horse, Albuquerque, N.M.
