The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. ==================================================================== Surnames: Jocoy, Jackson, Woods, Samaripa, Mills, Bennett, Hendricks (j200) Vernon Mack Jocoy June 14, 1997 FORT COBB--Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, 18-Jun-1997 in the Fort Cobb Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Cobb, Ok. for Vernon Mack Jocoy, 76, of Fort Cobb who died 14-Jun-1997 in Binger, Ok. Officiating was the Rev. Don Wright. Burial was in the Fort Cobb cemetery under the direction of the Fort Cobb Funeral Home. Mr. Jocoy was born 06-Dec-1920 in Anadarko, Ok. to Homer and Amanda (Jackson) Jocoy. He married the former Lucille Woods 26-Apr-1941 in Gracemont, Ok. He grew up in the Gracemont area. After his marriage the family resided in several states, wherever his job as an oilfield worker took him. They moved to Midwest City, Ok. where he was a carpenter for several years, building churches, apartment houses, and homes. In 1978 the family moved to the Fort Cobb lake area where he made his home for 19 years. He was a member of the Assembly of God church. Preceding him in death were his parents; one infant son, Steve Allen Jocoy; five brothers and four sisters. Survivors include his wife, three sons, Daryl Jocoy of Pacific, Wash., Irvin Jocoy of Eufaula, Ok., Tyrone Jocoy of Fort Cobb, Ok.; three daughters, Verna Samaripa of Choctaw, Ok., Pat Mills of Eakly, Ok. and Toni Bennett of Ozark, Ark.; 19 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and one sister, Louise Hendricks of Anadarko. --------------------------------------------------------------------
