Jackson Graveside service for Herman L. Jackson, 73, Lawton, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Oak Grove Cemetery, north of Fort Cobb, with the Rev. James Swain, pastor, College Heights Baptist Church, Chickasha, officiating. Mr. Jackson died Tuesday, May 13, 2003, at his home. Arrangements are by Becker Funeral Home. He was born Feb. 18, 1930, in Alden, to Robert and Alice Cleora Rogers Jackson. He married Pauline McCarty in Lawton on Dec. 4, 1947. He was a retired welder and attended Cameron Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, of the home; three children: John Jackson, Davenport, Iowa; Gary Jackson, Lawton; and Pamela Zelbst and her husband, Charles, Spring, Texas; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Delmas and June Jackson, Louisville, Ky.; and two sisters and brothers-in-law: Patricia and Mike Hauzer, Fremont, Calif.; and Alice Faye and Tom Hamlin, Los Angeles. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters: Viola O’Bryant, Roberta Day and Goldie "Shirley" Pheleps; a brother, Everett Jackson; and three grandchildren.
