All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Lawton Constitution November 20, 2002 Wilma Jo Johnson FORT COBB — Funeral for Wilma Jo Johnson, 70, Fort Cobb, will be at 2 p.m. today at Fort Cobb First Baptist Church with the Rev. A.L. Swaggerty officiating. Mrs. Johnson died Sunday, Nov. 17, 2002, in Lawton. Burial will be at Fort Cobb Cemetery under direction of Fort Cobb-Hackney Funeral Home. She was born May 6, 1932, in Prairie Lone, to Israel Snead and Lottie Lee Sadler Tilley. She attended school in Prairie Lone and at Fort Cobb High School, where she graduated in 1950. She married Ralph Johnson on Sept. 2, 1950, in Wichita Falls, Texas. The family traveled often during her husband’s military career. They moved back to Fort Cobb in 1968. She was a member of Fort Cobb Baptist Church, where she taught a Sunday School Class. She was a homemaker and a beautician. She was a member and an officer of the South Pioneer Home Extension Club and a member of a bowling league. Survivors include her husband, of the home; a daughter, Elaine Landry, Poplarville, Miss.; two sons and daughters-in-law: Steven and Jannette Johnson and Kevin and Rhonda Johnson, all of Fort Cobb; six grandchildren: Mike Johnson, Midwest City; Lacy and Keith Johnson, Fort Cobb; and Reda Jo, Aimee and Zack Landry, all of Poplarville; a great-granddaughter, Kayla Paig Johnson, Oklahoma City; a sister, Nell Tilley, Oklahoma City; and two brothers: John Tilley, Anadarko; and Don Tilley, Clinton.
