All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Lawton Constitution November 18, 2002 Decker Kopaddy CACHE — Funeral for Decker Kopaddy, 87, Cache, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Cache Multi-Purpose Center with the Revs. Charles Bowers and Lewis Scarborough officiating. A prayer service will be at 7 p.m. today at Westside Church of God, 1203 NW 63rd, Lawton. Mr. Kopaddy died Friday, Nov. 15, 2002, at his home. Burial will be at Post Oak Cemetery, Indiahoma, under direction of Whinery-Huddleston Funeral Service. He was born Jan. 9, 1915, in Fletcher to Ella and Kopaddy. He married Eva Apauty Kopaddy on Aug. 24, 1977, in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was a farmer and also retired from Mid-America Lumber. He was a member of the Native American Church. Survivors include his wife, of the home; six sons: Decker Kopaddy Jr., Oklahoma City; Carlton Scott Kopaddy, Lincoln, Neb.; Kenneth Tahpay Kopaddy, Carnegie; Sammey Lee Kopaddy; Ernie and his wife, Rita Brewer; Byron and his wife, Patricia Apauty, all of Cache; four daughters: Natalie and her husband, Fred Glisson; Adaline and her husband, Thomas Horn; and Ernestine Kopaddy Dankowski, all of Cache; and Eva Mae and her husband, Lindy Barfield, Lawton; four sisters: Mae Cable and Beatrice Saupitty, both of Cache; Virginia Saupitty, Lawton; and Katherine Klinecole, Anadarko; a brother, Woodrow Kopaddy, Oklahoma City; 35 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Raymond Lee Kopaddy; four sisters: Eva Pautchee, June Wermy, Mary Kopaddy Kassanavoid and Sally Kopaddy; and three brothers: Clifford Kopaddy, Roland Kopaddy and Samuel Kopaddy.
