Kniffin June 01, 2000 Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday 04-Jun-2000 at the Binger Baptist Church for Iris S. Kniffin, 83, of Binger, who died 01-Jun-2000 at the Grace Skilled Nursing Facility in Chickasha, Ok. Officiating was Rev. Marty Ingram. Burial was in Binger's Murray Cemetery under the direction of the Turner Funeral Home of Binger. Mrs. Kniffin was born 05-Jun-1916 in Celeste, Texas to Darius and Zula (Ruff) Shelton. She married Oran G. Kniffin 19-Nov-1940 in Verden. They resided in Binger. As a child she lived in Durant, Bryan County, Ok. and Davis, Murray County, Ok. and moved to Rosedale, McClain County, Ok. as a teenager where she graduated from Rosedale High School. She was employed as a telephone operator at Rosedale and Binger. She was employed at Helm Grocery as a grocery clerk, and employed at Mills Cafe. She was a member of the Binger Baptist Church where for many years she was active as a teacher and a Sunday School secretary. Preceding her in death were her parents; and two brothers, D.C. and R.H. Shelton. Survivors include her husband, one daughter, one son, three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, one sister, two sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law and numerous nephews and nieces. --------------------------------------------------------------------
