All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Amarillo Globe News 12 Jun 1997 Dorothy Elizabeth Lovelace FARWELL - Dorothy Elizabeth Lovelace, 74, died Monday, June 9, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Hamlin Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Larry Heacock and the Rev. Beth Harrington officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Terrace Cemetery by Steed-Todd Funeral Home of Clovis, N.M. Mrs. Lovelace was born in Anadarko, Okla. She married Woodrow Lovelace in 1942 at Roswell, N.M. She moved to Farwell 55 years ago from Friona. She helped her husband with the family business, Lovelace Oil Co., until retiring in 1987. During World War II, she worked for the District Court Clerk of Farwell. Mrs. Lovelace was a member of Hamlin Memorial United Methodist Church and sang in the choir there. She also served on several committees in the church. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Diane Mayes of Humble; two sisters, Jean Blackburn of Albuquerque, N.M., and Peggy Gikas of Farwell; and a granddaughter.
