Lightner Notice of whose death appeared in these columns last week, was the son of Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Lightner, living eight miles south of Anadarko. He was born October 12, 1919 and died August 25, 1920. His remains were buried in the Anadarko cemetery, August 26, preceded by a touching sermon at the grave by Rev. W.E. Robinson. Mrs. E.W. Jones, a sister of Mrs. Lightner's, called on the Tribune last Saturday, and, in terms of love and highest esteem for their neighbors told us how kind and considerate they had been in extending aid and sympathy to the Lightner family. She accentuated the wealth of beautiful flowers which were brought by them on the occasion of the funeral services. Mrs. Jones requested that the Tribune print a Card of Thanks Covering the foregoing points and stating how grateful the relatives of the little one who has passed away are for these manifestations of love and sympathy. This is one herewith. The Card of Thanks is signed by Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Lightner; Marvin's brothers, Ray, Roy and Eddie; the children's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. S.C. Sherritt and Mr. and Mrs. E.W. Jones. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to COUNTY County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/caddo/caddo.html
