All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Lynn, Milton Jefferson ANADARKO DAILY NEWS MONDAY MARCH 24, 1952 (YOUTH KILLED BY TRACTOR) ANADARKO HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT DIES AFTER WASHITA MISHAP # 957 An 18-YEAR OLD Anadarko High School Senior died in the Anadarko Hospital Sunday afternoon from injuries suffered on the school grounds at Washita when a farm tractor rolled over him. Services for Milton Jefferson Lynn are pending at the Smith Funeral Home. Trooper Julian Henry, Anadarko was continuing investigation in the fatality this morning. Lynn was a member of the high school "A" Club and was a member of the Warriors Basketball team which recently began drills. (SERVICES PENDING) The accident occurred at about 2:30 P.M. Sunday on the Washita School grounds where Lynn and a cousin, Billy Don Holdge, about 14, had gone to practice basketball shots on the schools outdoor basketball goal. The youths had driven the tractor to the school. Services were pending contact with Lynn"s mother, a resident of Albuquerque, N.M. The youth had been living with his grandmother, Mrs. Nora Lynn of Washita. ================ Lynn, Milton Jefferson. ANADARKO DAILY NEWS TUESDAY MARCH 25, 1952 RITES ARE SET WEDNESDAY FOR M.J. LYNN 18. # 957 Services will be held at 3 P.M. Wednesday the First Baptist Church here for Milton Jefferson Lynn, 18-year-old Anadarko High School Senior. Lynn died Sunday in the Anadarko Hospital from injuries suffered in a tractor mishap on the Washita School grounds. Lynn was born August 13, 1933, in Washita. He had been making his home there with his grandmother, Mrs. W.R. Lynn. He was a member of the High School "A" Club, the Basketball team and was on the school baseball team which began drills recently. Reverend Lloyd Randolph, Hydro, will officiate at the services assisted by Reverend Nance.
