Funeral service for A. D. Langford, Jr., 93, Cement, will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the First Baptist Church, Cement with Rev. Charles Echols, Pastor of First Baptist Church, Cyril, officiating. Mr. Langford died Saturday in a Chickasha nursing home. Burial will be in the Cement Cemetery under the direction of Becker Cement Chapel (Formerly Robbins Funeral Home). He was born October 27, 1911 in Cement, Oklahoma to Albert Dexter, Sr. and Venus [Rimer] Langford. He was raised and lived in the in the Cement area all of his life. He married Winnie Lee Vaughan on May 1, 1935 in Lawton, Oklahoma. She died on June 1, 1997. He worked as a tool pusher, pumper and roustabout for several oil companies, including G. H. Ray, Tom Palmer Oil Company and Young Well Service. He also farmed and retired in 1978. He was a member of the Cement First Baptist Church, the Cyril Masonic Lodge and the Cement Oddfellows Lodge for 60 years. Survivors include a daughter, JoAnn Walker of Cyril, Oklahoma; brother, Jesse Langford of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; sister, Marie Marshall of Yucaipa, California; 5 grandchildren, Allen Neal of Chickasha, Oklahoma, Carl Walker of Moore, Oklahoma, Sidney Wolverton and husband Randy of Ninnekah, Oklahoma, Kirt Walker and wife Melody of Washington, Oklahoma and Eric Walker and wife Shannon of Cyril, Oklahoma; 13 great grandchildren; numerous other nieces, nephews and relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Norma Neal and a sister, Julia Wells.
